Installation & Maintenance

Preparation

Select Installation Location: Plan the layout and dimensions of the guardrail according to the required installation location.
Prepare Materials:
358 Protective Netting
Posts (usually steel or iron pipes)
Mounting Brackets or Fixtures
Ground Fixtures (such as concrete foundations or ground anchors)
Installation Tools (such as electric drills, wrenches, bolts, nuts, etc.)
Rust-Preventive Coating (If installing outdoors, it is recommended to apply a rust-preventive coating to improve durability)

Installation Steps

1. Install Posts

Select Post Type:

Posts can be vertical steel pipes, square tubes, etc. The height of the post should be determined based on the total required height of the fence.

Mark Positions:

Measure and mark the installation positions of the posts according to the predetermined fence locations. The spacing between posts is typically 2.5 to 3 meters.

Secure Posts:

Secure the posts to the ground using concrete or ground anchors. For softer ground, drill holes and pour concrete to enhance the stability of the posts. Ensure the posts are vertical and avoid tilting.

2. Install 358 Protective Netting

Hang Mesh Panels:

358 protective netting typically consists of multiple mesh panels, which are connected to the posts using wire ropes or iron wires. First, align the hooks or mounting holes of the mesh panels with the posts.

Use Fixing Clips:

Secure the mesh panels to the posts using fixing clips or metal connectors. Each connection point should be firm to prevent loosening.

Install Panel by Panel:

Install the mesh panels onto each post sequentially, ensuring there are no gaps between the panels and that the mesh surface remains taut.

3. Secure the Mesh Panels

Tighten The Bolts:

Use bolts and nuts to tighten the fasteners connecting the mesh panels to the posts, ensuring the mesh panels are firmly fixed to the posts.

Inspect The Mesh:

Ensure the mesh panels are taut and secure, guaranteeing overall strength and anti-climbing effectiveness.

4. Install Top Anti-Climb Devices

Check Stability:

To enhance anti-climbing performance, the top of the 358 fence is typically equipped with barbs or curved sections. Secure the anti-climb devices to the top to further improve fence security.

5. Inspection And Cleanup

Check Stability:

Ensure all connection points are secure, posts are not tilted, and the mesh panels are taut and secure.

Clean Up The Site:

Clean up the construction site, ensuring no tools or materials are left behind.

Maintenance And Care

Regular Inspection: Regularly inspect the connection points between the posts and the mesh panels to ensure there is no loosening or damage.

Rust Prevention: If the fence is outdoors, regularly check for signs of rust or corrosion, and reapply a rust-preventive coating if necessary.

Safety is always paramount during the installation of 358 fencing. If unsure how to proceed, it is recommended to have it installed by a professional, especially in high-risk areas such as prisons or border areas.
